It isn't what we say or think that defines us, but what we do.

The Project

Life is made up of steps that bring us closer to dreams. Dreams are the result of the poetic intertwining between reality and evocation: declamation of the passion of living from head to toe.

Passion and courage, these are the traits in common to all these well-known writers to whom DèPio has decided to pay homage, women who have challenged their eras and who have left precise and significant imprints.

The story of the DèPio factory itself is the narration of intuitions and courageous actions born from a great passion for work that only the finest craftsmanship can inspire. DèPio’s stylistic research is fascinated by characters who transform their actions and sometimes their lives into a work of art.

The only way to judge an artist is by his works.

Edith Wharton

DèPoetry Socks for Woman was born as a natural continuation of the homonymous men’s collection dedicated to d’Annunzio: as a sign of continuity, but above all for the sharing of passionate values and of the “audere semper”, the same Vate is found in this capsule, the only male writer among four famous female writers.

The writer who possesses the creative gift owns something of which he is not always master – something that at times strangely wills and works for itself.

Charlotte Brontë

The portraits reproduced on the pure Fil d’Ecosse socks are the work of the famous Spanish illustrator Mikel Casal, keen observer and kind soul, who was able to create unpublished and caricatured profiles of famous characters. However, this unique look at the DèPio style was a source of inspiration for the genesis of the DèPoetry Socks collection.
